NASR Education Society

STEPPING STONE

The first step towards the fulfillment of a cherished dream was taken one sunny morning – June 12th 1965 to be precise, the school took shape. The demand for good schools and the realization that there were few good schools in existence, resulted in the starting of Nasr. Her aim was to provide an all round education for children which would widen their experience, broaden their outlook and provide them with the academic and cultural foundation to lead successful and fulfilling lives. The Nasr School which started with just 12 students and 3 staff members has grown rapidly without sacrificing standards and has today a total strength of 4,000 students and 600 staff members.

HERITAGE BUILDINGS

Nasr School was established in the sprawling and beautiful mansion of ‘Khushnuma’. The Campus of Nasr is large enough to provide all the resources you would expect from an excellent school and yet, small enough to make one feel a sense of tradition and warmth to the campus. Recently constructed buildings offer the latest designs in class room and laboratory facilities. Assembly halls, student activity centre and recreational facilities all provide for the kind of the life style that enhances success academically, socially and physically and spiritually.

Initial reservation regarding space and accommodation has been solved over the years with the purchase of the Haveli, next door belonging to the Raja of Pipri. Today Nasr can boast of excellent facilities for students in all fields be it academics, sports and co-curricular activities.

The rapid growth in numbers without sacrificing standards was partly due to the American System of Education modified to suit the traditional Indian System. The Nasr School is run by a Registered Society namely the Nasr Education Society. The Nasr Education Society is presently headed by Begum Anees Khan, M.A., M.Ed (New Mexico, USA) as Founder Principal, Chairperson and Nawab Mir Khutubuddin Khan, Secretary.
