From Nita Dalal to Nita Ambani, her journey has intrigued many! At a dance performance, Nita Ambani was spotted by her father-in-law Dhirubhai Ambani, the founder of Reliance Industries, who chose her as his eldest son’s – Mukesh’s – prospective wife, and the rest is history.
Today, she smartly juggles many responsibilities and skillfully plays the role of a mother and a wife. The lady’s CV is an impressive display of talent, and she is seen managing the job of an educationist and philanthropist with zest. A commerce graduate from Narsee Monjee College of Commerce and Economics, she also has the qualifications of a teacher and an interior designer.
But, she is best known as the founder chairperson of the Dhirubhai Ambani International School and the co-owner of the Indian Premier League’s (IPL’s) Mumbai Indians cricket team. Nita is also noted for her contribution to the social causes such as education, human resources, and disaster relief. She is also dynamically associated with the Reliance Foundation’s project Drishti, which runs in association with the National Association for the Blind (NAB). Nita strongly feels for empowerment of women and is a big-time promoter of girl child education.
Despite all her engagements, she makes it a point to spend quality time with her family.
